Improv Comedy Camp

The Comedy Arena presents its Summer Camp series for the young and aspiring jokesters. Camp goers will learn to support their peers, make big choices, and play on stage without any plans. Using improvisation, slapstick, sketch and more, they will develop their funny bones and learn the tricks of the trade which will be shared with family and friends on the last day of camp in a comedy showcase. This final performance will be 100% original, starring the creative and comedic talents of our young ensembles.

Our camp programming includes the Basics of Improv, how to “Yes, And”, Scene work, creating characters, stage presence and the introduction to improv short-form game play (like those you might see in a Comedy Arena show).

Our camp counsellors/instructors are all award winning teachers with decades of improv experience. They also know how to relate and work with all different types of campers with all different types of experience and with all different types of confidence levels.
